John Casey
Author, Professor
John Casey is an American author and professor of creative writing at The University of Virginia. He’s known for his novels, including An American Romance, Testimony and Demeanor, Spartina, Supper at the Black Pearl, The Half-life of Happiness, and Compass Rose.
In November 2017, a former student accused Casey of sexual harassment, saying that he repeatedly touched her and other female students and make distasteful comments about women.
