Andrea Ramsey is a retired executive who was hoping to unseat Kansas Republican Kevin Yoder in the United States House of Representatives.
In December 2017, she dropped out of the race after an allegation of sexual harassment emerged. In 2005, she was accused of sexually harassing a man who worked for her, who claimed that after he rebuffed her sexual advances she ignored him and eliminated his position. Ramsey denied the allegations, and the EEOC closed its investigation in 2005, saying it was “unable to conclude that the information obtained establishes violations of the statutes.” The complaint was settled in mediation in 2006.
