Martin Lawrence is a comedian and actor. Some of his prominent TV roles include the long-running Fox sitcom Martin and hosting HBO’s Def Comedy Jam. He also has a successful film career, including roles in Do the Right Thing, House Party, Boomerang, You So Crazy, Bad Boys, A Thin Line Between Love and Hate, Nothing to Lose, Life, Blue Streak, Big Momma’s House, What’s the Worst that Could Happen?, Black Knight, Runteldat, National Security, Open Season, Wild Hogs, and Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son.
In 1996, Lawrence’s Martin costar Tisha Campbell quit the show and filed lawsuit alleged that he sexually harassed her. Campbell’s lawsuit alleged that Lawrence made “repeated and escalating sexual harassment, sexual battery, verbal abuse and related threats” against her.
