Pete Rose
Baseball Player
Pete Rose was a Major League Baseball player and manager, most notably with the Cincinnati Reds.
In the 1970s, a woman later identified as a minor claimed Rose had a sexual relationship with her beginning when she was 14–15 and he was in his mid-30s. Court filings from a 2017 defamation suit included her sworn statement alleging the relationship continued for several years.
Rose acknowledged having a relationship with the woman—but said he thought she was 16 (legal consent age in Ohio) and that the encounters occurred within Ohio.
