Vito J. Lopez
New York State Assemblyman
Vito Lopez was a community organizer and powerful New York Assemblyman.
In 2012, two female employees alleged that Lopez groped them, tried to get them to stay in hotel rooms with him, asked that they wear more revealing clothes, and demanded massages. Lopez resigned in 2013 after being censured by the Assembly.
After his resignation, it was revealed that at least some New York taxpayer money had been used to settle sexual harassment claims against him.
